Google made Gemini 4 Argon globally available. Developers and enterprises can access the model via the API in AI Studio and the Gemini platform, Google AI Ultra subscribers can use it in Google Antigravity, and Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers can access it in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search.
The model launched at an introductory price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens discounted by 95%.
According to Google, Argon ranks first on the Vals Index, which evaluates model performance across economic sectors such as finance, coding, legal, and tax work.
Internally, Google says Argon in Antigravity helped its teams increase agentic code submissions by more than 35% while reducing code rollbacks by nearly a third, and helped the Chrome team separate core webpage handling from a legacy folder of browser features.
Google is also expanding its Fairwind Program to hundreds of additional partners, allowing cybersecurity defenders to apply for access to Argon without cyber guardrails on a rolling basis. Separately, Google is offering 10,000 scientists free access to the highest usage tier in Google Antigravity for six months, subject to eligibility, capacity, and selection.
Google stated that Argon is the first release in the Gemini 4 family, with additional models planned.
