Anthropic has launched Claude Frontier Academy backed by a $100 million commitment. The company aims to train 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers by the end of 2027.

The first cohorts include engineers from Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, and Novo Nordisk.

The Academy’s first program is the Frontier Deployed Engineer Residency. Eligible participants are software engineers with a record of building with LLMs and experience helping others adopt AI. Anthropic says organizations nominate their strongest engineers, and each participant arrives with a named Claude project to lead upon their return.

Engineers begin with a multi-day in-person program alongside Anthropic engineers and licensed instructors, working through a simulated enterprise deployment from the use case stage through security review and handover. Those who pass earn the Claude Resident Engineer badge.

Participants then enter a 12-week residency to lead a real Claude use case at their organization, supported by Anthropic engineers. Engineers are assessed again at the end of the 12 weeks, with successful candidates earning the Claude Frontier Deployed Engineer badge. The first of these badges are expected in early 2027.

Cohorts are running in San Francisco, New York, and London. Participation is by nomination through Anthropic account teams or Partner Account Managers.

This program builds on the Claude Partner Network, where professionals across 46,000 firms have earned more than 175,000 Claude certifications and nearly 4,000 people have completed Basecamp.
