Moonshot AI’s Kimi K2.7 Code, an open-source model for coding and long-horizon software engineering, published on Hugging Face in June 2026. Moonshot states it uses about 30% fewer thinking tokens than Kimi K2.6. It has a 256K-token context and costs $0.95 per million input and $4 per million output tokens on the Kimi API, or $1.90 and $8 for the HighSpeed version at about 180 tokens a second. Moonshot is closing the K2 series to new users from 31 October 2026 and retiring it by the end of December 2026.
