NVIDIA Updates AI for Media Suite at IBC

At NVIDIA's IBC announcement, held in Amsterdam, the company revealed expansions to its NVIDIA AI for Media software development kits and NIM microservices. The conference runs from September 11-14, 2026.

The Synthetic Video Detector microservice, initially released at SIGGRAPH, has reached an accuracy of 99.3% for text-to-video content and 97.7% for image-to-video content. Companies including Dalet, TwelveLabs, and Wowza are integrating the detector into verification and compliance workflows. Wowza distributes the service through its Wowza Streaming Engine technology, which powers over 35,000 video deployments across more than 170 countries.

The update also features Video Frame Generation, which increases frame rates by 2x or 4x. Ross Video is integrating the technology into its Rio Replay platform to support 6x slow-motion generation, with development underway for 8x interpolation. Additionally, NVIDIA TrueHDR converts standard-dynamic-range video into high-dynamic-range output reaching up to approximately 2,000 nits.
