What Is AI Ethics?
AI ethics asks whether an AI system treats people fairly and safely, and who is responsible when it does not. It covers bias, safety and regulation.
In November 2021, UNESCO’s 193 member states adopted the Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. AI ethics explained covers bias, safety and the principles most frameworks share.
Two guides cover specific rules. The EU AI Act, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, sorts AI systems into four levels of risk by what they are used for. The NIST AI Risk Management Framework, version 1.0 released on 26 January 2023, is a voluntary guide from the US National Institute of Standards and Technology.
The NIST AI Risk Management Framework Explained
The NIST AI Risk Management Framework in plain words: the seven traits of trustworthy AI, the four functions, the Generative AI Profile's 12 risks, and vs the EU AI Act.
The EU AI Act Explained: Risk Levels, Bans and Key Dates
